Christmas at Dublin Castle

Great things are happening at Dublin Castle this coming Christmas!
Boutique Market Vendors: More than 30 craft vendors will be housed in the classic Christmas Market’s wooden chalets. Artisan products will be on offer, including wooden crafts, children’s toys, clothing, jewellery and much more
Free Horse Drawn Carriage Rides (Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th, Saturday 21st, Sunday 22nd)
A horse drawn carriage ride from the Lower Courtyard, taking in Dubh Linn Gardens.
Time: 5pm to 8pm on a first come first serve basis departing from the Lower Courtyard.
No Strings Theatre Puppet Shows (Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th and Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd)
Performances of The Gruffalo at 2pm and The Little Lost Bear at 4pm. The shows will be held in Bedford Tower on a first come first serve basis.
A vintage carousel for kids will also be on site.

Christmas Market on the Green – The Well, St Stephen’s Green
When: Every Sunday from the 12th November to 22nd December 2019
Where: The Well, St. Stephen’s Green
Time: 12 – 5 PM
Located in the heart of Dublin City, The Well will transform in a Christmas market with over 50 stalls. The Dublin Pizza Company will be on site; mulled wine, coffee & Christmas treats from The Well Cafe will be available.
Inreda Christmas Fair – Clontarf Castle Hotel
When: 15th December 2019
Where: Clontarf Castle Hotel, Grand Hall
Time: 10 AM – 6 PM
Set in the beautiful Clontarf Castle Hotel, over 50 stalls will be set for this fair. This is a local fair, as many of the stallholders are businesses from Clontarf and the surrounding areas.

Dun Laoghaire Christmas Market
When: Every Weekend from 30th November to 23rd December 2019
Where: along The Metals and opposite the LexIcon
Time: 11 AM – 7 PM
The annual Dun Laoghaire Christmas Market is back again this year with traditional stalls selling authentic hand-made gifts and delicious treats. The Market will have a traditional and nostalgic theme, bringing the magic of Christmas and a winter wonderland for the festive season.
Alongside the Christmas Market, the iconic Ferris Wheel and chair-o-planes will provide spectacular views of the Dún Laoghaire Harbour this Christmas with a touch of nostalgia, a sense of adventure and a whole lot of ‘Greased Lightning!’
The 55 ft retro Ferris Wheel was built in 1958 and reported to have featured in the original ‘Grease’ movie is a highlight. In keeping with the Hollywood theme, the festival also features vintage Chair-O-Planes that were used by AMC in the making of TV series ‘Into the Badlands’ starring Daniel Wu
The vintage carnival will be placed at Moran Park beside dlr LexIcon to compliment the traditional Dún Laoghaire Christmas Market. Classic family attractions will be on stage, retro Hobby Horses, candyfloss, a rollercoaster, Santa’s Post Box.

Farmleigh – Farmleigh House
When: 7th to 22nd December 2019
Where: Farmleigh House
Time: 11 AM – 7 PM
Farmleigh House is set for a great Christmas this year. Loads of activities are on schedule to provide families with great entertainment. A food and craft Market, a puppet show, a festive Crib, storytelling for children, Christmas carol singing and much more!
