Build a Birdfeeder at The National Botanic Garden

Here is another great activity for the mid-term break!

The end of winter is tough on birds, food gets scarce and it’s so cold lately!

Why not bring your kids to this fun workshop where they can make bird feeders? This is an opportunity to help our feathered friends make it until spring time. It is also a great chance for the children (and maybe their parents) to meet new friends, learn new skills and explore the Botanic Gardens.

The National Botanic Gardens give a very useful advice: get the children to wear old clothes since the work may get messy.

The workshop is suitable for ages 6-12.  It is FREE but booking is essential, so make sure you call or email the National Botanic Gardens using the details below.

National Botanic Gardens: call (01) 804 0319/ 857 0909 or email botanicgardens@opw.ie

Do not be worried if the date doesn’t suit, there is another workshop on Thursday, February 20th.

The National Botanic Gardens of Ireland are an oasis of calm and beauty, and entry is free. A premier scientific institution, the gardens contain important collections of plant species and cultivars from all over the world.
