Museum of Archaeology – Back in Time for Supper!

February 20 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Back in Time for Supper!

Museum of Archaeology – Back in Time for Supper!

The National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology is inviting families to drop by Kildare Street for  children-friendly activities and a bit of an unusual learning experience.

You and your child will get a chance to find out what you would have to eat if you were having dinner in the Middle ages or even as far back as the Stone Age.

Drop-in to the Museum to discover what people ate for their supper in the past! Learn how archaeology helps us understand how food in Ireland has changed from prehistoric Ireland through to Medieval times. Your child will get an opportunity to match the menu to the time period and then make his/her own tiny replica quern stone!

This is a FREE event and no booking required.

This event is best suited for children aged 6+.
