Macnas At Home

Where: your home
Age suitability: all ages
Join The Boy Explorer and create your own magical world of Macnas at home this Hallowe’en!
The Boy Explorer has returned and he needs your help. He had been wondering how we’d celebrate Hallowe’en this year. Well, he’s come up with a brilliant idea: along with magic-makers Macnas, he’s inviting dreamers of every age, from 0 -100 years old, to use the magic of imagination to bring him and his friends to life.
Bram Stoker Festival once again partners with Macnas, in a year when a parade isn’t possible, to bring the magic of Macnas right into your home. In a series of online videos released during the October Mid-Term, families nationwide will be guided through the creation of their own Macnas at home experience; from imagining your story, to mask making, movement and sound and drumming, you’ll follow step-by-step as Macnas teach you how to build and stage your own Hallowe’en spectacle at home!
More information on the event available here.
Curse Hunters

An interactive adventure game, playable at home anywhere in the world, delivered through your phone or tablet (available via Actionbound App – iOS and Android).
As you will have already noticed, 2020 has unleashed an ancient curse upon the universe. Now it is on you (an “ADULT”) to lead a team of adventurers (“CHILD-FOLK”) to stop it.
You will guide your young explorers as they create toxic elixirs in the kitchen, compose demon-wooing poetry and dress up like the slick, dimension-surfing HEROES they are. Only then shall the ancient curse be undone!
PLEASE: SAVE THE UNIVERSE! We really can’t stress enough how important it is that UNIVERSE continues to exist.
This event is FREE but there is limited capacity. Free tickets for Curse Hunters will be available from Wednesday 21st October. Tickets available on a first come, first served basis.
More information on the event and tickets (from 21st Oct) available here.

Your guides regret that they cannot be with you in person, but promise to whisper in your ear and lead you astray in visions of exposed flesh, murder, darkened rooms, storms and a cruel-to-be-kind dissection of your ‘warmblood’ mortal nonsense and obsession with immortality.
They also have opinions on bridge, needlework and long-term best friendship.
Warmbloods is a Bram Stoker Festival special edition of an ongoing series of comedy tours in the National Gallery.
Warmbloods is written and performed by Underthings (Debbie Cheevers and Denny MacDermott) an improv/sketch duo from Dublin. They specialise in dark, domestic comedy and hard stares.
